Kundapur, Sep 17: Kundapur, Udupi and Byndoor police have rushed to Maharashtra on Friday, September 16, as police in Pune arrested a gang of thieves three days ago and recovered 50 kg of gold, silver and idols of deities.

Thefts in several temples and houses in Kundapur and Udupi taluks had taken place and the arrest of thieves had been a challenge for the police. Pune police in Maharashtra arrested four men while stealing this week and valuables stolen by them were recovered after questioning them.

A member in the gang is from Karwar and the other one is from Bengaluru. The identity of the remaining two suspects is not known. The gang was operating from Karwar.

Incidents concerning Saukur and Barkur in Kundapur were mentioned during their questioning. The DCIB teams from Kundapur, Udupi and Byndoor left for Pune after learning about this.

It is yet to be known if the arrested suspects had participated in other thefts in the coastal region. However the police have not released any information regarding them.

KARNATAKA POLICE ARE EXPERTS IN RUSHING TO TAKE CRIMINALS CAUGHT BY OTHER STATES AND TO ALLOW THEM TO FLEE WHILE ATTENDING NATURE'S CALL.
OTHERWISE BUSY AT THE FOOT STEPS OF POLITICIANS BUT NEVER INVESTIGATE SERIOUSLY LIKE BHASKAR SHETTY CASE.

We Indian have the right to live, work and move anywhere in India. Even PM or President cant stop this. If this is to be applied, perhaps it may happen so that, you may have to work in Gujarat, Mumbai or elsewhere, and you need a rent a relaxing place. If so how this can be justified.

As far as alertness, i fully agree with you.

Here the major role to be played by the authorities. Also, people responsible are builders, who recruit them without any proper background. Do they have any record of these people, do them submit any recruitment summary to local administration. Our legal system is as such, if you rent your house which is having the electricity connection, they can apply for Aadhar card, ration card, etc... If you refuse, authorities say, it is tenants right to have it. See how easy it is. Even with the copy of someones tenancy contract, and copy electricity bills our local body is issuing the licence, and other required documents. Isn't that so easy for any wrong doers to ute their act.
