Dubai, Sep 18 : On the occasion of popular Mangalorean family feast Monti Fest, a variety entertainment program was arranged by St. Mary’s Church Dubai’s Mangalorean Konkan organization - St. Mary’s Mangalorean Community [SMMC] Dubai on 9th September evening in the Church Main Hall. Master of Ceremony Vernon DSouza, initiated the event with brief introduction and welcomed on the stage the SMMC Spiritual Director Fr. Robert Lasrado, St. Mary’s Goan Community Spiritual Director Fr. Andre Fernandes, Visiting Guest priest from Mangalore Fr. Joachim Dsouza OFM Cap. and St. Mary’s Church Assistant priest Fr. Olmes Milani accompanied by SMMC Coordinator Oswald Fernandes and Vice Coordinator Jerina Lewis.
SMMC Monti Fest Competition Organizing team member Lavina Dsouza rendered welcome to all the attendees. Fr. Robert, Fr. Andre, Fr. Joachim and Fr. Olmes were honoured with flower bouquets. All priests on the stage, in their messages stressed on the unity in the families and motivation of family feast for such accord.

Shyna Noronha, SMMC Monti Fest Competition Organizing team member announced winners of various competitions and academic excellence to whom the awards and certificates were distributed.















































SMMC’s Coordinator Oswald Fernandes thanked all the attendees and supporters who assisted in organizing 9 days Novena, Feast mass and various competitions organized by SMMC in the earlier week for the Monti Fest.

The cultural event started with a Welcome dance well performed by Viola and Vidisha Alva. Thereafter beautiful dance performed by Santosh & Group captured the hearts of audience. Renowned organizations like Arun Lobo’s Feet Beat Dance & Art Centre, Ocean Kids Institute of Music, Dance & Art and V Dynamites added zest to the entertainment programs with their well-choreographed fusion dances. Josly Pinto & Group, Lancy Norohna & Group and Clifford Rodricks & Group exhibited excellent comedy skills with their few amusing skits. Final fusion dance by versatile dancers Lanita Noronha and Delina Fernandes was a show stopper, well received and enjoyed by the entire audience.

Two hours of grand entertainment program with packed audience was a well organized event, appreciated by all.
