Kundapur: Ambulance-car collision- one dies, four seriously injured

Kundapur, Sep 18: In an accident that took place near Tauhid College at Shiroor on Sunday September 18, a woman died and four others sustained serious injuries.

Two of the injured are from the car while other two are from the ambulance. The woman who died was in the car.

Jagadambika is the person deceased.

As per details, six persons were in the car including a child. They were going to Kollur from Murdeshwar to attend pooja. The ambulance was returning to Bhatkal after dropping a patient to a hospital.

As the accident took place in the early morning, delay in taking the injured to the hospital resulted in one death, said locals.

All the four injured have been taken to a hospital in Manipal.

The child, who was the car, is safe.

    Please check the second picture, it is not clear which vehicle is in wrong side. It looks like due to road repair work, there is a diversion & two ways traffic followed. Other side of the car we can see a Truck?

    Whatever, our Twin district Traffic need serious attention to improve.

    Every day dozens of road accidents in our twin district is a warning .
