Mangalore, Dec 17: Two construction workers died in a landslide which took place while digging a trench for erecting a compound wall at Kavoor on Monday December 17 evening.

The tragedy occurred when the construction handymen, Lingappa, Utthamma, Yellappa, Eeeramma, Balamma, Shanthappa and Mohan Mastry, all migrant labourers from Koppal district, were digging a trench for erecting a compound wall at one Kamir Khan's plot, located behind Vaibhav Hall, at Kavoor.

The property of Kamir Khan is located close to a hillock, wherein the soil seems to have loosened, due to ongoing digging.  Yellappa (45) and Eramma (40) were trapped in the landslide.

Recent reports reaching Daijiworld office said that fire brigade personnel were successful in tracing the body of Eramma while search is on to trace Yellapp's body.
