Bahrain: Seventh annual Vishwakarma festival of worship held

Bahrain, Sep 20: Vishwakarma Seva Balaga here celebrated their seventh annual Vishwakarma festival of worship at Krishna Mandira auditorium, Manama on Sep 16.


















The celebrations were held on public demand under the expert guidance of renowned astrologer and vastu expert, Ashok Purohit, here which inspired the devotees.

After installation of Kalasha at 9.30 am, Balaga female members and working committee members together lit the traditional lamp and set the religious rituals in motion. The women later recited Vishwakarma verses, Kalikamba verses and Lalithasthothara verses in devotion. The Bhajana programme started under the leadership of Balaga secretary Rajesh Kodathuru and Pradeep Karkal. The Bhajans by enterprising members continued for about two hours.

Divyaraj, Yathish Shetty and Pradeep Karkal accompanied on keyboard, Dolak and Tabla respectively.

The priest conducted religious rituals and incantations in the presence of Balaga president Sadashiva Acharya, former president Damodara Mijar, founder president K B Jagadish Achar, working committee members and devotees. Prasada was distributed followed by Annasantarpane meals.

Surendra Nandavara Acharya couple was the sponsor for the meals. Founder president K B Jagadish Achar welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
