Bengaluru: DySP M K Ganapathi suicide - HC refuses to order CBI probe

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Sep 21: The state high court, on Tuesday September 20, refused to intervene and order investigation by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the case pertaining to suicide committed by deputy superintendent of police (DySP), M K Ganapathi.

Father of Ganapathy, M K Kushalappa, and younger brother, M K Machaiah, had approached the court seeking directions to entrust this case to CBI for investigation. It may be recalled that the investigating team of criminal investigation department (CID) has already filed 'B' report in the court, exonerating the accused, former minister, K J George, and senior police officers, A M Prasad and Pranav Mohanty.

The single judge bench of the high court presided over by Justice S Abdul Nazeer, to which the application was referred, dismissed it. The bench observed that as per Supreme Court guidelines, cases can be ordered to be entrusted to be CBI only if it is a rare case and there is suspicion about the investigation already conducted. "The CID has completed investigation and filed report. The applicants have the liberty to contest or object to the report in the court. The high court does not find the need to entrust the case to CBI at present," the bench observed.

The CID, through its investigation report filed on September 17, has given clean chit to all the accused. Kushalappa and Machaiah had sought orders from high court to refer the case to CBI as they felt that CID investigation had not brought out the true facts.

CID need some more time to erase all clues and evidences in this case against Chor party ministers. Chor party is very good in misusing court, police and investigating agencies. They will even make terrorists heros.

Generally suicides are out of total frustration and helplessness.
But MKG's is Strategic, well planned suicide by calling press conference. He was powerful also.
Suicide Bombers also do like that.
It's really surprising, how come his ardent supporters, families didn't help him, take care of him during his difficult time?
Why only after his death showing so much sympathy?
Did they really wanted him to die to take political mileage?
