Udupi, Sep 22: As sensational Bhaskar Shetty murder case is taking new turns on every day basis, the third accused in this crime, the self-proclaimed astrologer Niranjan Bhat from Nandalike, has turned a master entertainer in Hiriadka sub jail where he is lodged under judicial custody, it is learnt.
We published earlier, soon after his arrest, that Niranjan Bhat had acted in movies, dramas and other comedy shows. He is also said to be a good mimicry artiste. Within few days from his entry to sub jail, he won the hearts of jail inmates. According to a lawyer, Bhat has been entertaining his colleagues in jail with his comedy acting and mimicry. Due to this, inmates want Niranjan Bhat to remain in Hiriadka sub jail, and they say he should not be transferred to Mangaluru prison!

In the regard, one of the jail mates has reportedly requested the jailor to keep Bhat in the same jail, so that prisoners can have some free entertainment shows, the lawyer revealed.
Meantime, it was observed in JMFC court yesterday that, all the accused in Bhaskar Shetty murder case had shown smiles on faces and sighs of relief when they heard that the high court had denied the CID further custody of Rajeshwari Shetty. The JMFC court too denied the CID the custody of Navaneet Shetty and Niranjan Bhat.
It will be interesting to see, how now CID will get the custody of these accused for further investigations.
