Puttur: Youth thrashed for alleged misbehaviour with fancy store employee

Puttur, Sep 24: Members of the public beat up a youth who allegedly had misbehaved with a girl from another religion employed at a fancy store at Kabaka in the taluk on the night of Friday September 23.

It is said that the youth, identified as Muhammed Sadiq, had visited the fancy store where the girl is employed, three day ago for recharging his cellphone. During this visit, he had collected the mobile phone number of the girl, with the stated purpose of contacting her in case the recharge does not happen.

On the next day, he sent message on her cellphone. He followed it up by visiting the shop and behaving indecently with the girl on Friday. Angered by his behaviour, people questioned him and beat him up, it is said.

The youth however, has dismissed the allegations. He said that he was purposefully asked to come near the fancy store, where members of some organizations attacked him. Complaints filed by both sides have been registered in the town police station here.

    Who are people to thrash someone? What is meant by indecency if its attempt to molest or eve teasing the girl then this person should have been handed over to the police not thrashed. If its that this chap is in love with this girl, then guys be a sport :)

    The case proved that it was the girl who started chatting with him and that he dint take the number but she had taken the number when he went there to recharge.

    The verification of messages of both the phones, will prove the guilt ..... There was no need for the youth to take the phone number,, as he has come to the shop to recharge, similarly he can visit the shop for clarification / followup..

    Why dint u comment same on the issue of false molestation case against mobile shop owner.
