Sullia: Murder case of Congress leader Ismail Nelyamajalu gains momentum

Sullia, Sep 25: Three police teams have been formed to nab the culprits who murdered Congress leader, Ismail Nelyamajalu at Aivarnadu near Bellare. Policemen have been visiting various places in and around Bellare to collect more information on this murder.

On the basis of complaint filed by the brother of the deceased, a case stands registered in Bellare police station. Puttur assistant superintendent of police, Rishvanth, has been guiding the investigation. Two other teams are headed by additional superintendent of police, Vedamurthy, and local police circle inspector, Krishnaiah. It is being claimed that the investigating teams have gained access to some clinching evidence, and arrest of accused persons is likely soon.

The teams have gathered information about business interests of Ismail and people with whom he had business deals. There is suspicion that the murder could be the fallout of some financial or land-related dispute.
