Doha : MCA gear-up for Gulf Voice of Mangalore semifinals

Doha, Sep 25: The final preparations for the most awaited Mangalurean event in Qatar, the semi-finals of GVOM -5, are going on in full force.

The 13 best chosen semi-finalists are all set to use this opportunity to the best of their ability. The organizers have promised that it is going to be an exciting evening.

Mangalorean Cultural Association (MCA) is all set to host much awaited Doha chapter semi-finals.

The judges, the masters in the music field, Fr Clement Mascarenhas, ‘Sangeeth Sardar’ Wilson Olivera and Suraj Noronha will be in Doha soon to pick the Voice of Qatar Male and Female along with the music director for the evening, ace musician Joswin Pinto, a music mastermind behind many leading Konkani legend composers for decades. The winners in both sections will represent Qatar for the GVOM –season 5 Grand Finale to be held in Bahrain.

The most talented MC and the shining international toastmaster of the Middle East, Ronald Olivera will take charge as the master of ceremony for the only Konkani reality singing competition of the Middle East.

Walter D’Souza, Nandalike, Editor –in-chief of Daijiworld media, one of the main sources behind the success of Gulf Voice of Mangalore, has given his consent to be the honoured guest for this event.

The evening will also mark the conferring of the prestigious award ‘MCA Seva Puraskar -2016’ on the most deserving personality from Mangaluru - Corrine Rasquinha.

In the entertainment section super talented stars from Qatar will entertain the audience with dance, songs and comedy skits along with ‘Sangeeth Sardar’ Wilson Olivera one of the honorary judges for the semi-finals, performing some of his brilliant compositions.

Above all, MCA has arranged to put the best chosen ones in their respective fields to be on the stage of Regency Halls on the grand evening of Friday September 30. As always Mangalore Cultural Association, Doha Qatar known for its quality organizing skills will make sure that the audience will experience yet another memorable evening.

Entry is free but with Entry Passes.

The evening will begin sharp at 5:00 pm at the Regency Halls Qatar. The organizers request the Doha music lovers to reserve their Entry Passes early and arrive at the venue by 4:45 pm in order to start and end the programme on time.
