Proud that Marathi film industry is doing well: Ravi Jadhav

Mumbai, Sep 25 (IANS): Filmmaker Ravi Jadhav, known for his Marathi films like "Natarang", "Balak Palak" and "Timepass", says he is proud that content-driven movies in the language are being received well.

"It makes me feel proud to see our Marathi industry doing so well. The Marathi film industry is known for its content-driven stories and now people have started noticing it. I believe this is just the beginning and we have a long way to go," Jadhav told IANS.

Jadhav has ventured into Bollywood with "Banjo", which released on Friday.

The movie stars Riteish Deshmukh, with whom Jadhav had worked for "Balak Palak".

"We produced 'Balak Palak' together and we all know that Riteish is a great actor. He makes some beautiful movies and his comic timing has been amazing. He has grown over the years as an actor. I am glad I've made my Bollywood debut with Riteish," he said.

"Banjo" is about street musicians of Mumbai. It also features Nargis Fakhri.
