Kasargod: Car-lorry collision, businessman succumbs to injury

Kasargod, Sep 25: As a consequence of an accident involving a car and lorry, the driver of the car died on the spot on the highway at Eriyal near here on Sunday, September 25.

M K Mahin (57) from Mogral Patel Road here is the person deceased. He was a businessman and a partner of a medical shop here.

When Mahin was on his way home, a goods laden lorry moving towards Kumble hit the Swift car he was driving from the front side. As the impact of the accident, the car got badly damaged. The locals struggled hard to remove seriously injured Mahin from the car. But Mahin breathed his last on the way to hospital in Mangaluru.

Mahin’s only son Hassan Naimuddin had died in a road accident some years back.

Kasargod traffic police have registered a case.

Body has been taken to Kasargod general hospital for post-mortem.

    destiny's play. what a tragedy. It's mentioned his only son had died in a road accident some years back and today himself. Since coastal people we tend to comment that there must be some curse on this family... some past deeds which made them to pay for it... not sure... how and what kind of... pity on the family who lost 2 pillars of their family. YEs, question comes , what the authorities have done to stop such accidents. Nothing... hard truth we all know.

    What is the solution to prevent accidents?, Now a days entering road is like taking the risk, if one is lucky he will reach home safely and every day the same. over population congested roads and increased vehicles and carelessness of drivers to reach their destination are the main reasons for increased accidents. Roads have to widened at any cost by one way sytem
