BJP as a nationalist party has always welcomed the minorities. I wonder why members from the minority communities are reluctant to join the party. Mr. Felix D’Souza decided to join the party as it seemed right to him. Why should there be criticisms and counter criticisms from his or other communities? The opponents of BJP had always projected the party as communal, the party of the upper castes and so on. On the contrary the Congress has promoted more communalism in the country, especially through reservations and bhagyas on caste basis. They had always favoured the majority among the minorities, whom they consider as an asset. Hope leaders from the minority communities will ensure that BJP is genuinely secular and not sickular and also ensure the party is fair towards one and all without any kind of appeasement.

In a democracy like India a party comes to power on its own can not be termed as communal. If it is communal means whole country is communal. No harm in that case. Now losers are also term BJP rule voted by 31% .In any case there is always option to dislodge the govt through ballots which they can do always if possible.
Felix joining BJP is a good sign.Udupi/Mangalore is not India.Elsewhere people have changed their mindset towards BJP. Even if Congress comes in next election here sky is not going to fall. Here Christians did not liked great leader like George Fernandes not even Bishop or priests for obvious reasons.British culture is so imbibed in the mindset. While muslims have changed their view about BJP in the country and enjoying political freedom being in main stream. So also there are many industrialists, leaders in hospitality sector, education, politics, Industry from that community but Christians are still lagging behind in this race.People should ponder over for the reason.Congress will not remain as a Christian dominated party in future with present leadership. Now in DK/Udupi BJP is looked upon on communal angle only by petty minded people.Good and bad elements are there in all parties.More over present leadership at the centre or state are not from saint community. Also not everything in BJP is ok..there are shortcoming in admn party levels which is unavoidable. If it does deliver and stand upto peoples expectations will be dislodged. It so far economic management, controlling price rise of essentials are is utterly a failure.Where the majority people are made suffer such party will not bounce back next. Its a fact that present BJP leadership/rule is hijacked by few big corporates for their benifit. Common man is looking at them helplessly. Time is the solution.Indian voters ate most vigilent and brilliant which politicians should not forget.Previous Vajpayee's govt failure should be eye opener.

Some part of your information is true and some part is not.
In Goa and North East, Christians have voted BJP may vote hereafter as well.
It all depends, how BJP treated Christians.
I am writing about general mindset of Christians.
For Christians, it doesn't matter, who heads the party!
Even neutral party also will do for them.
Christians are voting and have voted TMC, AAP,JDU, Communists etc. These parties are not headed by Christians.
British culture is so imbibed in the mindset etc. are used to victimize Christians, not at all true.
Here recent re-rapprochement efforts made by RSS at Sangh Niketan and reciprocation by some Priests and Nuns, all dislodged by subsequent speech by KPB.
    RSS doesn't denounce his speeches.

Secondly, people of Mangalore and udupi are scared that mr yeddiurappa will again conduct church attacks as done openly in the past if elected to power rather than development.

Once again It is my appeal to people of DK not to align politics and religion. In fact muslims leaders in BJP are very successful and similarly Hindu leaders in congress are also very successful.

What happened is wrong at the same time reason can not be overlooked.Recently there were protests by Hindus on the issue of defaming Hindu gods in FB...are there any untowards incidents anywhere in DK..?Not a single Christian leader/Bishop who are secular devathas condemned the said incident. So who is responsible for church attack....?In Bangalore Church priest Thomas was murdered inside the church...not a big issue for DK people....no one is punished for that .....Because politicians are after votes.....!Daily quarels in the church on the basis of language used in the church in Bangalore....no issue..!

Remembering Great Rabindranath Tagore's poem's contents which are very relevant in our lives.
These principles for life, we should never forget.
    1. World which will never be subjugated and enslaved.
    2. Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high. There We all can grow and bear more fruit.
    3. Where knowledge is free, for us to use rational thinking.
    4. Therefore, where there is self respect there we will find refuge.
    5. However, there is high reward for adventures in life.
