Karkala: Youth proves integrity second time - returns goods to true owners

Daijiworld Media Network - Karkala (SP)

Karkala, Oct 1: In an incident involving a youth who deserves generous accolades, he returned signed cheque, cash and cellphone to their true owner. It goes to the credit of the man that he has done it for the second time.

A local named Suresh had lost a signed self cheque for Rs 50,000, Rs 30, 000 in cash, and a costly cellphone. These things were found by Prasanna Shetty Jayaleela, a youth Congress leader from Muniyal Padukudur. Shetty promptly found the true owner of the lost items and returned them to the concerned, exemplifying again his total commitment to remain honest.

Sometime back, Prasanna had been paid Rs 18,000 by the staff of Syndicate Bank, Muniyal branch instead of RS 10,000. Immediately on finding out that excess amount was paid to him by oversight, he had returned the excess cash to the bank staff. Prasanna Shetty has emerged as a role model for the young generation at a time when there is hue and cry over falling values among the new generation.

Mr. Prasana, you are a noble soul and you and your family be blessed at all times.
I still remember an incident when I had drawn cash for office purpose from STATE BANK OF MYSORE, Mysore Main Branch, Mysore and the cashier called me over the phone after the closure of the cash transaction, to collect the balance cash from the bank as he had removed certain amount of cash from the bundle to pay somebody but I had walked out of the bank after taking the bundle without verifying it. It happened in the year 1994.
This world has such good people whose memories can be cherished. The Cashier is from MYSORE CITY. Great Man. May such people be blessed at all times. JAI HIND.

It is so heartening and so soothing to the ears when we hear the news like this. Most of the time, we hear sensational news in the media and some of them highly exaggerated. Congratulations to Shri Prasanna Shetty. The fact that he has done this a second time, only shows that he is sincere everyday of his life. He must have done many more such deeds which may not have been noticed or recorded by others. I wish he is felicitated suitably, along with his parents.

There are many excellent families who have inculcated values of honesty and integrity to children. Values cannot be taught and they can only be caught. We should congratulate the parents of Suresh as well as Suresh. You teach by example Suresh

That kind of maturity comes to any human being when there is no poverty at home and good positive atmosphere and good values cultivated by his parents. That's why such values are not common in south Asian species.

Honesty is the innate nature of any self respecting human being irrespective of poverty & religion . People with out faith only look for living at other cost, easy money, reservations etc .
