Mangaluru: ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ concert enthralls music aficionados

Mangaluru, Oct 1: Music aficionados gathered at Ravindra Kala Bhavan auditorium at University campus in the city were treated to a splendid evening on Saturday October 1 as noted artistes performed with grace and panache at the ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ music festival.

 



‘Sangeet Sandhya’, a musical festival exclusively featuring Milind Chittal, reputed vocalist from Mumbai was organized by Sangeet Bharati Foundation in collaboration with Expert Group.

Ushaprabha Nayak, secretary of Expert educational and charitable foundation, Ustad Rafiq Khan, president of Sangeet Bharthi, Radhakrishna Rao Parody, secretary of Sangeet Bharti and Murlidar Shenoy, trustee of Sangeet Bharthi formally inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Shiny Periera compered the programme. The artistes who performed were felicitated on the occasion.

Reputed vocalist Milind Chittal from Mumbai rendered the vocal recital. He was accompanied by Narendra L Nayak on Harmonium, T Ranga Pai of Manipal on the tabla and Gullu Adolkar on the thanpura.
