Kim Kardashian held at gunpoint in Paris, robbed, unharmed


Paris, Oct 3 (IANS): Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West was held at gunpoint inside her hotel room here and robbed of jewellery worth several million euros, police said.

Kim was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night at the luxury hotel in Paris by at least two men dressed as police officers, according to police officials and her publicist. She was was here to attend the Paris Fashion Week.

"The loss amounts to several million euros, mostly jewellery. The total amount is still being evaluated," a police official told bbc.com.

According to eonline.com, Kim's publicist said that the celebrity was "badly shaken but physically unharmed".

In the wake of the news that his wife was held at gunpoint, rapper Kanye West too suddenly ended his concert at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival in Queens, New York. A concert-goer shared that in the middle of performing "Heartless", the rapper learned of a "family emergency" and left the stage.

TV host James Corden took to his Twitter account to criticise those making fun of the incident. 

"People making jokes about Kim Kardashian tonight would do well to remember that she's a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend. Be nice or shut up," he tweeted. 

It is unclear if the couple's two children, three-year-old daughter North and 10-month-old son Saint, were with Kim at the time she was robbed. 

Kim was in Paris for the city's fashion week with her mother Kris Jenner and her sister Kendall Jenner.
