Kuwait: Perampally Welfare Assoc holds Monti Fest

Kuwait, Oct 4: Perampally Welfare Association, Kuwait celebrated ‘Monti Fest’ at Badur Travels Building, Salmiya on Friday, September 23, under the leadership of president Arun Dsouza and committee members.

Large numbers of devotees had gathered to celebrate the Monti Fest. Prayer to worship Mother Mary was led by Reshma Dsouza. Group of children offered flowers. Youngsters and adults offered various kinds of vegetables, while all who were gathered sang hymns ‘Sakkad Sangatha Mellyan’ and ‘Moriyek Hogolsian’ in honour of Mother Mary.

The program was compered by Edna Dsouza who took charge of the entire proceedings with grace.

A warm welcome was extended to the gathering by Arun Dsouza. Brief Annual Report presented was by vice-president Sumit D’souza.

The cultural program began with Bollywood remix dance performed by Royce and Rosyln D’souza. Melodies singing by Sanya Fernandes and Realene Fernandes which was supported by the instruments by Sean, Fredrick and Ronald enthralled the gathering.

Various games, quiz, lucky draw and spot games were conducted by Arun D’souza. Many parishioners sponsored for this event. Helen Dsouza thanked the people for their contribution and continuous support towards Perampallians. Kombo (Live cock) draw and auction were special attractions of the event. Raffle draw was held and prizes were distributed.

Traditional food (Novem Jevaan) was served on the occasion by M & M confectionery. Delicious fish dish was also served which was prepared by MM Confectionery and sponsored by PWA members. The programme concluded with ‘baila dance’.
