Abu Dhabi – Dec. 25: The Christmas Crib at the St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Abu Dhabi has become the centre of attraction once again this year drawing the attention of large number of devotees. The magnificent display enhances the spirit of Christmas with its natural ambience and creativity.

 The Crib is strategically placed at the Centre of the Church and is impressive.  Every intrinsic details have been taken care of from the mountains, the fields, the grass, the Shepards, the streams, the snow, the pathways etc. etc.

The creator of this impressive master piece is none other than Frank Alvares, a Mangalorean hailing from Bijai, who has installed this work of art for the second year in succession at the St. Joseph's Cathedral.

Frank has been mounting the cribs since several years at his residence in Abu Dhabi and knowing his talent and creativity and at the request of Church authorities he has volunteered to install this artistic piece with the help of his family members and friends.

The Crib was blessed and ceremoniously opened by the Bishop H.E. Paul Hinder just after the Christmas Eve Holy Mass.
