M'luru: G Shankar Family Trust funds dialysis, cancer patients at FMMCH

Mangaluru, Oct 8: On the occasion of his birthday, Dr G Shankar, from his family trust, dedicated Rs 60 lac and Rs 10 lac to patients of dialysis and cancer respectively, at Father Mullers Medical College Hospital, Kankanady, Mangaluru.


Speaking on this occasion, Dr G S said, "This is a small token of encouragement to patients. Come what may, one must face everything with courage." He further appreciated the efforts by the hospital.


The administrator of the hospital, Fr Richard Coelho said, " Dr G Shankar has been the epitome of altruism. We appreciate his social service and his life-saving efforts for patients through blood donation and financial-aid camps. May God bless him and his family. The medical team and the staff of the cancer department selflessly attend to patients day in and day out."
 

























































Dr Dinesh Shet, department of oncology  said, patients must always be cheerful and seek God's blessings to help curb the disease.

The public relations officer David V Sequeira, hosted the program and proposed the vote of thanks. The chief nursing officer of the hospital Sr Janet D'Souza, other nurses and social workers were amongst the attendees of the event.
