Kasargod: Another attempt to smuggle tobacco products, foiled

Kasargod, Oct 9: Kasargod city police have arrested three culprits and have seized a lorry transporting vegetables from Mangaluru to Kanhagad with concealed tobacco products worth Rs six lac.

The accused have been identified as, the drive of the lorry, Zainuddin(53) from Vidyanagar, Naveen Kumar (38) from Adkattabail, and Ratheesh (30) from Parakatte.

The police have confiscated the lorry.











On being informed about the trafficked goods, the police manually inspected the lorry at Karandakkad, Kasargod and found the concealed tobacco products.

The car escorting the lorry is missing. The police have launched a search for it.
