Udupi: ANF constable collapses at KSRTC bus stand, dies

Udupi, Oct 10: A police constable attached to Anti Naxal Force (ANF), who was unwell, collapsed at Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus stand here, and lost his life. The incident happened on Sunday October 9.

Ramesh Myagari (41) from Hungund in Bagalkot district was working as constable in ANF's Karkala camp. He was suffering from fever of late. He got treated at the government hospital at Karkala, where the doctors advised him to have 15 days rest.

For taking rest, he wanted to go to his hometown. He was accompanied by his colleague in ANF, P R Dambal. When both of them were waiting for the bus at the KSRTC bus stand here, Ramesh told Dambal that he was feeling exhausted, and then collapsed.

As Ramesh stopped responding to his efforts to wake him up, Dambal arranged to take him to the district hospital at Ajjarkad. The doctors who examined him there declared him brought dead.
