Kuwait Dec 27: Following phenomenal success of Joyeus Navidad 2006, the gorgeous ladies of AAK started off the Christmas season serenading with melodious carols in preparation to the much awaited Christmas celebration Joyeux Navidad 2007. AAK under the presidentship of Diany Coutinho, an ace organizer hosted the Christmas Ball  on Christmas eve, 24th December soon after the night mass at Mubarakia BallRoom at Hotel Ramada Kuwait.






On behalf of the President and the office Bearers, Alumna Crystal Noronha kicked off the show welcoming all.  Dashing youngman Barry Rodrigues  took it from there comparing the event efficiently. The joyful Christmas spirits moved on with slow dance session and then non-stop dancing sessions throughout.  Grand entry by Mr. and Mrs Santa Claus kept the children as well as the crowd delighted with their antics and gifts.  AAK Committee members together with Santa and Santi cut the Christmas Cake. Christmas carols continued with lovely numbers were played by the versatile Stepping Stones who were at their best which surely left the crowds wanting for more.

Fabulous prizes and gifts were sponsored by Hamad Saleh Al–Homaizi Grandsons Pharmaceutical Co, Indian Airlines, Bayer Scharing Pharma, Avanti Palace Restaurant, Bassem Int’l Trading Co., Kharafi Plastic Industries Co., Micasha Electrical Sales & Services, Barah Trading Co along with  generous AAK committee members were amongst the benefactors of the show. Caesar’s Confectionery sponsored traditional Mangalorean sweets – Kuswar to feel the touch of the soil. Winners of the Crib Competition which was held prior to the event were given Prizes. Alumna Mrs. Celine D’Souza, teacher for many years at St.Agnes School as well as St. Annes School was presented a token of appreciation to her longtime service. 








As the crowd kept wanting music for more and the Music Master DJ Marlon heartthrob of many youngsters kept them hooked on to the dance floor with the latest numbers.

Alumna Letitia D’Costa led the Grace followed by sumptuous buffet laid by Hotel Ramada chefs. Special session of  Theme Novelty Dance with romantic numbers was held and winners were given many prizes. Raffle draw was held for valuable prizes. Apart from the  welcome goodies lots of spot prizes were a special attraction of the evening. AAK secretary Annet Castelino thanked all the sponsors, Donors and well wishes who supported AAK by their generous contribution in many different ways.  AAK is grateful to all our well wishers without  whose support the event would not have been so grand and successful. The wonderful audience thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas eve.








The youngsters enjoyed and danced until the wee hours of the morning and brought the curtains down only at 5.30 in the morning. It was truly an Agnesian  presentation in style and spirit of  their Alma mater. Keeping in mind the motto of AAK, the proceeds will be added to the existing Scholarship amount to render support to girls who need financial assistance for their studies. The resounding success of  Joyeux Navidad 2007 once again displayed the ability of the ladies of AAK who have meticulously taken care of minute details. It is yet another feather on the cap of AAK.
