Bantwal, Oct 11: As part of Vijayadashami, ' Thene Pooje' was offered at Chandika Parameshwari temple at BC Road  on Tuesday, October 11.

After offering special prayers at the paddy field, the harvest was brought to the temple. After religious rituals, paddy stocks were  distributed among  devotees.

Thene Pooje is offered for health and prosperity. New harvest of paddy plants is distributed amongst the devotees. After prayer, the devotees  take the 'Thene' (Paddy stock) home, while some keep it in their prayer room.
