Bantwal, Oct 12: A pedestrian lost his life in an accident involving a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus which occurred near Kaikamba near B C Road on the evening of Monday October 10.
Venkappa (65), a resident of Parlia Kodange near here, lost his life i n this accident. Venkappa was crossing the road near Corporation Bank when the KSRTC bus moving from Mangaluru to Puttur hit him. Venkappa, who sustained serious injuries to his head, was taken to the private hospital at Thumbay. After providing initial treatment there, he was being taken to a hospital at Mangaluru, when his end came.
A case relating to the accident stands filed in the traffic police station here. Policemen have begun investigation.
