Mumbai, Oct 12 (Daily Bhaskar) : Close friends and industry people have been thronging Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s maternal house in Mumbai to pay their condolences after Shilpa’s father Surendra Shetty passed away on Tuesday afternoon following a cardiac arrest. 

Actress Raveena Tandon arrived with businessman husband Anil Thandani at the Shetty residence. Harman Baweja and R Madhvan with his wife also came in to pay their last respects.

Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra was seen meeting the mourners. He was seen with son Viaan Raj Kundra. A bereaved Shilpa was also seen making arrangements at the house.

Surendra Shetty was also rushed to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital where he was declared dead. The 74-year-old was seen on the small screen last year when he came on the set of dance reality TV show 'Jhalak Reloaded' with Sunanda and Shilpa to cheer for Shamita, who was participating in the finals.

Surendra Shetty was said to be a health-conscious man and would regularly go for walks. He was extremely fond of his grandson Viaan and would spend a lot of time with him.
