Mangaluru: Second PU girl student jumps from sixth floor, condition critical

Mangaluru, Oct 12: A girl student of second PUC in Alva’s College, Moodbidri Vidyagiri, tried to commit suicide by jumping from sixth floor of the college building on Wednesday, October 12.

She has been admitted in a private hospital in Mangaluru in a critical condition.

The student identified as Ashwini hails from Bellary. She is second year PUC student in Alva's PU College. She is undergoing treatment in the ICU of the hospital.

The reason for the attempted suicide is not known.

    there could be many reasons... Why do we have to speculate the reason... Whatever the reason may be we should pray for her speedy recovery and we should focus on how to relieve the stress off the children... Parents should talk to their children in a friendly manner... Life is not about getting stressed out.. failures are part of life, life does not stop there, success does not stop there. Children should be made aware of this... There needs to be major change in our education system... Students are put to private tutorial classes from 1st standard itself nowadays... Come on they need to play, they need to enjoy life... Hope we as parents support our children in difficult times...

    Seems to be frustration in life.
    Most commonly known reason at tis age 'Love break'.

    Lucky that she is survived and undergoing treatment.
    Let's hope & pray that she will respond to treatment and will be back to normal.

    I think it is important to teach lesson in school for what is life and how to tackle the tough situation in school. weekly 1 class must be keep for this in every high school and college.

    Now a days Facebook & Whatsup disease everywhere which is bad for the society. Sometimes these connections encounter in difficult situations & good too. At the time unavoidable circumstances arise which leads to severe depression then brain commands to an end. Because some people are so addicted to it. Secondly, nowadays youngsters can't take pressure or a word No from their parents.

    But, if a girl commits suicide, mostly, boy is the reason.
