Puttur: Grazing goats theft, 30 stolen since last year

Puttur, Oct 13: Goats which had been left to graze in a hillock at Perlampady in Koltige village in the taluk were stolen.
 
This is the latest incident among a series of such incidents of theft of goats that are happening since the last two months. Some time back, Devaraj from Kaudichar had lost goats worth Rs 20,000 and five more goats were stolen from Perlampady recently by unknown thieves.
 

A gang that specialises in the stealing of goats left to graze has been active in the area for some time. A complaint about the said incident was filed in Sampya rural police station. It is gathered that since a year, a total of 30 goats have been stolen in this manner.
