Mangaluru: Devdas Kapikad’s ‘Barsa’ film hits silver screen in twin districts

Mangaluru, Oct 13: Much-awaited Tulu movie 'Barsa' directed by Devdas Kapikad, produced under the banner of 'Bolli Movies' was released on Thursday, October 13 in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. 

Srinivas Ujire inaugurated the formal ceremony by lighting the lamp along with other dignitaries at Suchithra theatre here. 

Addressing the gathering, Shrinivas Ujire said "Devdas Kapikad has given another gift to the Tulu cinema. He has entertained the audience with his drama and now he has set his mark in Tulu cinema too. His movies always have good screenplay, dialogues, acting and songs. I wish all the best to the entire team." 

Director Devdas Kapikad said "I thank all for their support to the Tulu cinema. I wish more and more Tulu cinemas come in the future too." 

'Barsa' is the third movie produced under the banner 'Bolli Movies' and a family entertainer. 

The film has been produced by Sharmila D Kapikad, Mukesh Hegde and Swapna Shrinivas Kini.  Sachin A S is the executive producer, Manikanth Kadri has provided the background music, P L Ravi has done the cinematography, Mass Madha has handled the stunts and Sujith Nayak has done the editing, Giri and Gowri have done the dance direction for the movie while associate director is name Arjun Kaje. 

Actor Arjun Kapikad, debutant Kshama Shetty are cast in the movie in lead roles. Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Lakshman Malooru, Sarojini Shetty, Gopinath Bhat, Chethan Rai Mani, Santhosh Shetty, Sathish Bandale, Thimmappa Kulal, Umesh Mijar, Sundar Rai Mandara, Suresh Kulal have also acted in this movie.

Sathish Kumpala, Prakash Pandeshwar, Jaganath Shetty Bala, Sharmila D Kapikad, Mukesh Hegde and Swapna Srinivas Kini were present at the occasion.
