Mangaluru: Shalet Pinto appointed district women's Congress president

Mangaluru, Oct 14: Shalet Pinto, an advocate from the city, has been appointed as the president of Dakshina Kannada district women's Congress unit. She has been an active worker of Mulky block women's Congress since long.

Her appointment was made by Karnataka state women's Congress president Laxmi Hebbalkar.

Shalet currently is a resident of the city.

    Congratulation Sharlet for the new Post. Dear all,we Kinnigoli people should support our leader because we din't have any influential person in kinnigoli area. If u see all MLA, MP from Moodibidri area and earlier one was from Mulky,We dint produce any powerful person from our area, So we should be proud that some one from our area is achieved a responsible post in politics.
    Dear Jeralds, Regarding Kinnigoli bus stand, do you know the traffic in Kinnigoli, Today comparing to Mulky , kinnigoli is improved a lot and lot. yes bus stand is a mess but see the number of buses connecting to entire district. Sharlet pinto can't do any thing about bus stand, the number hotels, bars and shops surrounded by bus stand what she can do. Either we need to shift the Bus stand ( Which is not possible because of hotel, shop owners mafia) and secondly there is no empty space available around kinnigoli to shift the bus stand. We should understand the logic before raising fingers on others. If you compare Mulky Bus stand which is on national high way, our Kinnigoli bus stand is much better, we at least have shops to shelter but in Mulky that too not possible.If u wait 5 minutes in front one shop in mulky bus stand the shopkeeper is asking dada bodu, barritt untuley. But Kinnigoli shop owners good in that way. They don't bother if you block their entrance!!!
    Dear Sharlet, again do the good work. please improve the road condition specially main road of kinnigoli from bus stand to moorukaveri which is very narrow and so many school children are passing on this road, if possible arrange footpath to walk on main road. I know again land problem to widen the road, but noting is impossible.

    I know Ms.Shalet Pinto personally. She is different from other politicians. Being a law graduate, she has entered politics in her young age. When she was Vice President of Jilla panchayat, she has tried her level best to develop kinnigoli and sorrounding villages. The Government school in her constituency is the best example to know her good works. But we needcto understand that no one can bring the changes overnight. Surprisingly,You can reach her any time,just by calling her mobile number. She is from a very good family and I am sure, she will grow up in politics as a role model to all the ladies who are in social life. All the best Shalet. We are proud of your achievements.     MLA is busy with his bus business...if he gets little time he does 'Kar Seva' for Vidhwaan Moily...

    Major roads comes under PWD and State Government...Shalet or ZP have nothing much to do with it...

    thats what's known as development and you should be happy that kinnigoli is developing. There will always be positive and negative situations arising when certain new things happen. Instead of blaming others let's think about our contribution as a citizen to the society. It is very easy for us to sit at home and make a judgement.     Most of the residents of Kinnigoli know her contribution. Best example is Kinnigoli bus stand. Only shops are shelters for someone who is waiting for buses.In my area our road is not asphalted from 1947 till today.Jai ho Congress and Abhaya and Mahila President.

    Dear Jeraldds , Kindly open your eyes and open your brain with it . See the number of apartments,commercial complexes and developments happening there .Even 5 cents of land in kinnigoli is costing more than kulshekar . She has done great work during her tenure in this area

    Mr.jeralds, for your kind information, I was the zilla panchayat member in the year2000-2005. During my tenure I did my level best and people of kinnigoli have appreciated and supported me for my wrk . Though we have a spacious bus stand due to heavy traffic the space doesn't seem to be enough.And also, during my tenure kinnigoli panchayat was awarded no 1 In Rajiv Gandhi water supply scheme. And as for the road,kindly mention the road name/details which has to be repaired.     Charlotte and Shalet are pronounced same...one is French and second is English....

    May be you live in Quebec province of Canada and speak French...that's why you only know Charlotte...not Shalet...
