Mangaluru: MP Nalin predicts bright future for BJP in coming election

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Oct 16: "The coming election will carry BJP to dizzying heights. For this dream to come true, party activists and office bearers have to put their hearts and souls into the efforts to make this a reality," advised Dakshina Kannada MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He was speaking at the valedictory of the special executive meeting of BJP Dakshina Kannada district unit held at Suratkal on Saturday October 15. In addition to accusing the state government of resorting to anti-Hindu policies and moving to take control of Hindu places of worship and Maths, he charged it with making preparations to ban age old traditional customs. He called upon party activists to spread knowledge about this agenda of the government among the masses.

MP and vice president of state BJP committee, Anant Kumar Hegde, inaugurated the meeting. In his inaugural address, Hegde said that there was no doubt that BJP will secure majority in the state assembly in the next election. he said that party is always bigger than individuals and nothing will be achieved by discussing differences between state level leaders of the party. Stressing that the party will take firm and suitable steps at an appropriate time, he pointed out that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, it has again been proved that BJP alone can provide stable leadership and achieve unity and integrity of the nation

At the meeting, it was decided to support the sand policy that was in vogue in the coastal districts during the period of former minister, the late Dr V S Acharya. It was decided to spread awareness about new GST rules implemented by the central government, celeberation of birth centenary of founder of the party, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, implementation of Grama Vikas Yojana, celebrating 125th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar through service activities etc.

On this occasion, Valmiki Jayanthi and birth anniversary of Dr Abdul Kalam were celebrated.

BJP district president, Sanjeev Matandoor, MLA, S Angara, MLC, Capt Ganesh Karnik, former minister, Krishna J Palemar, president of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat, Meenakshi Shantigodu, and a large number of office bearers and activists from the BJP participated in the meeting.

Though BJP lead by Modiji has done a commendable job for the Nation, Mr. Nalin Kumar Kateel himself is very well aware that he may not get half the votes he secured during previous election. His words "For this dream to come true, party activists and office bearers have to put their hearts and souls into the efforts" is an anticipatory bail from the forthcoming defeat. Mr. Kateel is a dramatists and a man of pure double speak. He is not reliable as a leader and shall be the last person to represent people of this elite coastal constituency. BJP can try somebody and anybody else in his place, if they want to retain the seat. Anti-Nalin Kumar wave in this district is stronger than the prevailing Modi Wave nation-wide. His slippery stand on Yettinahole Diversion Scheme is enough to expose his capabilities for double speak in full. A shrewd person who keeps some thing in mind and speaking out altogether different. What he has done to protect the interest of people he represent? At least now, let us call a spade a spade. BJP leadership shall sense the mood of electorate to try somebody else else prepare to surrender the seats to anti-social elements from Congress.

I asked one of relative who is Congress party member since more than 3 decades doing selfless social service in Puttur & sullia without any benefits and expectations, about Who is going to get the next MP ticket in Mangalore next, will it be Mithun Rai. His answer was, it doesn't matter, we all know whoever gets it, defeat is confirmed and no one can avoid it. He says with the way how Putgosi(he dint use the word, I added it now)High command is not bothered about grass root workers or the still not recovered from Modi tsunami, only given tickets based on Suitcase and Party fund target achievers, the Moral of the partymen are all time low. He himself stopped going to any party activates since 2 years nor the district party president botherd.

This is the true state of congress at least in DK-Udupi.

    2. bjp-sangh's 1 point agenda only revolves around religion and bhashans.
3.Cost of living has shot up after bjp has taken over and they wont bother because they favour the rich and are funded by the rich.

You may win and so might the BJP. You will be richer and so will your colleagues and ministers. But what difference will it make to common persons like us? What happened to the drama you were enacting regarding Yettinahole? If you are really interested in common people like us, do something to stop this project. Mere talk and no action will fall on deaf ears. It is of no use to people like us. We will just consign it to the dust bin.
