Yeddy condemns murder of RSS worker Rudresh in Shivajinagar

Bengaluru, Oct 16: Former Chief Minister and Karnataka BJP President B S Yeddyurappa has strongly condemned the "cold-blooded" murder RSS worker Rudresh in Shivajinagar in Bengaluru on Sunday.

"The impunity with which the killers have perpetrated this heinous crime and the felicity with which they have escaped are a telling comment on the state of affairs in the law and order front in Bangalore city in particular and the entire state in general," Yeddyurappa said.

RSS route march

In a press statement, he said Rudresh had participated in one of the RSS route march that was held on Sunday in different parts of Bangalore city and was returning home when he was waylaid and stabbed to death. Rudresh was also functioning as BJP Secretary of the Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency.

"What is highly disturbing is that there seems to be a pattern in the attacks on RSS workers in Bangalore," he said pointing out that RSS workerPhaneendra was attacked by swords at Vidyaranyanapura a few months back and the attackers are at large.

About eight days ago, another RSS worker Dilip was attacked at Muthyalnagar under Yeshwanthpur police station limits. Two youths were arrested and immediately released on station bail within two hours. Six others are absconding. The motive of these attacks has to be spelt by the police and the government. But what I sense is that the attackers have felt emboldened by the "inaction" of the police and the "stoic silence" of the government because the culprits have not been punished in the previous two incidents. A feeling has gained ground among the potential violence-perpetrators that they can do anything and get away with ease.

"The brutal murder of Rudreshis a litmus test for the State Government to demonstrate its seriousness, sincerity and will power in nabbing the killers and taking the issue to its logical end. In earlier two instances, the government has failed. I demand home minister Dr G Parameshwar to come clean on this issue. BJP will launch agitation to mount pressure on the government on the issue of the attack on RSSand BJP workers," he said.

Such brutal attacks and murder in broad day light , that too in the capitol city of Bangalore, shows the collapse of the law and order situation and failure of the state government. The guilty and culprits should be arrested soon and punished.

Sad to read about the murder of RSS leader Rudresh. R.I.P.
Nice pictures of the Route march by RSS but the march was conducted at the wrong place at current situation. Instead they should conduct the march at Indo-Pak border or inside POK as per my opinion and least bother about Likes / dislikes!

Yes Indeed!!!!!. Otherwise why his friends not injured who were drinking tea with him? Certainly they only given the direction & location to the killers and on the way to hospital, they may be completed the task so Doctor d him brought dead. Now they can target the government and police. "IN ONE SHOT TWO BIRDS" Wah Sanghis!!!!!!!.
