Mangaluru: 19-year-old boy drowns at Arbhikatte Falls near Moodbidri

Mangaluru, Oct 16: In a drowning incident that took place at Arbhikatte Falls Erugundi in Kanchibailu near Moodbidri, a young boy lost his life on Sunday, October 16.

Arfaz (19), son of Mustafa from Kinnapadav near Bajpe, is the person deceased. He was the second year PUC student of Suratkal Guideline Tutorial.

As per details a group of friends came for picnic at the Arbhikatte Falls. When the friends had gathered near the Falls, Arfaz went to the water near the paddy field. When he could not swim in water, he shouted for help. The friends, who heard, went to rescue him with the help of cloths. But Arfaz could not be reached in time.

The locals later managed to retrieve the body from water.

Moodbidri police have registered a case.
