M'luru: Parked tanker driven away - spares worth Rs 2.07 lac stolen

Mangaluru, Oct 17: A tanker that had been parked at Nanthur here was stolen by unknown thieves on the night of Saturday October 15. The tanker was found parked at Katapadi the next day.

A person named Jayaraj had parked the tanker at Nanthur at around 10.30 pm. When he returned at 5.30 pm on Sunday, he found that the tanker had gone missing.

He then complained to the police. It was found that the tanker was abandoned near Katapadi near Udupi. The thieves, however, had removed tyres and tyre disks of the tanker totally worth Rs 2.07 lac before leaving it at Katapadi.

A case about this theft was registered at Bunder police station here.
