M'luru: Cellphones, spares worth Rs 3 lac stolen from Thokkottu

Mangaluru, Oct 17: 'Sudhi Collections', a mobile phone sales and service store located at Pandit House on Kuthar Road, Thokkottu, was burgled by unknown persons in the wee hours of Sunday October 16. The thieves, who broke open the shutters of the shop, took away cellphone handsets, accessories and spare parts worth about three lacs, the shop owner said.

Owner of the shop, Deepak, was at the shop till 11.30 pm on Saturday after which he went to his home in the city. On coming back to the shop on Sunday morning, he found that the shutter was broken. He called Ullal police. Policemen along with finger print experts and sniffer dogs visited the spot. It is gathered that 31 mobile handsets and Rs 12,000 in cash were stolen by the thieves.

Ullal police have registered a case and begun investigation.
