Kasargod, Oct 17: Krishna Temple in Mujungavu near Kumble here has become popular as a pilgrim center. Thousands of devotees have been taking a holy dip in its lake known as Talakaveri of the south on Monday October 17. Devotees from Kananghad, Kasargod and all over Karnataka have been flocking for the holy dip since 3 am.

There is a belief among the devotees that certain skin ailments will be cured if the devotees take a dip in the pond, walk around it and offer vegetables to the deity.

It is said that the lake is built by the Panadavas and holy men meditated nearby. The place where they meditated was later called Majangavu. Buses from Kumble, Perla and Badiadka pass in front of the temple making it convenient for the devotees.
