Kundapur: Byndoor deaths- Extramarital affair destroyed family, killed two innocents

Silvester D'Souza

Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (RJP)

Kundapur, Oct 18: The deaths of two school going innocents, brother and sister, on Monday October 17 have shaken the Byndoor area and it looks like every person is affected by the tragedy.

The death note written by Shankaranarayana Hebbar blames his extramarital affair for the decision to end the lives of four family members. But unfortunately innocent children only died. Shankaranarayana and his wife are recovering in hospital while their children will never come back.

Earlier believed to be a suicide pact, now looks like a murder-suicide. It is possible that the children and wife were poisoned without their knowledge and then Shankaranarayana took poison.

Neighbours say that Shankaranarayana lived with a young girl as he had extramarital affair with her. He worked as a cook and did not have much to spare. His wife sold milk to look after the children in his absence.

Ashwin Kumar (15) and Aishwarya Lakshmi (13) -deceased

Death note

After the young girl ditched Shankaranarayana to marry another man six months back, he came back home and started living with his wife and children. But he was depressed. Ultimately the depression led him to take the decision of poisoning wife and children.

It is confirmed that Shankaranarayana has mentioned the name of his lover in the 16 pages death note. But contents are yet to be revealed.  He also took a Xerox copy of the death note and kept it in a different place to make sure that death note is read after his death.

Ultimately three innocents, wife and children, became victims in extramarital affair of a man.

Extramarital affair is a fast growing problem mostly through social media, most of them happens in work place, I know few already married christian girls had extra martial affair with opportunist non-christian married man and ended up with disaster after that man left that lady on street with kids, there are thousands of cases takes place every day but 98% of affairs are highly secret and un-reported.
Always opening own eyes at first stage better than opening eyes at last stage after disaster.

The best way for the Man to take his own life instead of 3 innocents ? Because neither he was a responsible father for his innocent Children Nor a good Husband to his wife. How cruel act of his and towards to his own people. May Their Souls Rest in Peace.

THIS IS THE TRAGEDY SIMILAR TO RAJESHWARI INCIDENT.
THESE THINGS HAPPEN FOR ANY REASONS SUCH AS POOR EDUCATION, PATIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING, LUST FOR MONEY, ENJOYMENT AND SO ON.
BUT ONE THING IS CLEAR IN MOST OF THE CASES GREEDINESS FOR MONEY IS ROOT CAUSE.

Legalize Prostitution, it may bring down these kind of lust related crimes to major extent.

    Pam Suvarna,

How will legalising prostitution help in cases like married men desiring more sex ? Prostitution spoils family life. Either men don't get married or those who tasted prostitution prior to marriage continue to visit brothels even after marriage.

How will this help our society ? Our girls will be trafficked as and when demand rises. Besides men will will be the mode for STD to their wife. Unimaginable !

legalizing prostitution is not an answer. Men should behave properly in modern day society and avoid relationships outside the marriage This is why all these crimes are happening Stick to one woman and be loyal to her Women must also stick to one man and be loyal to her

@Kusuma K Badyadka,Amma ,he or she Need not stick to each other, but be loyal to each one, love the Partner, make compromisses when does not function,or divorce when find hard.sticking also is not a solution, but make their life more problematic and last hate eachother.Such notorious men going to aother woman leaving back Family and come back when otherone runsaway,is not fit to be a Family man without responsibility

    I refute.
Always a man can retain his woman, so as vice versa- but there should be a will.
After one or two kids, if the woman grow towards all directions with lease interest to her man in bed, definitely he will seek his pleasures somewhere else.

my advise to married ladies.. keep yourself fit and fine, whether you are mother of one or four. Use santhoor!!
Today is free advice day :)

Regarding legalizing prostitution, it comes with safe, disease free certificates as in Bangkok. It definitely reduces rape. No room for trafficking coz approval from govt.is required, which is given on consent from the applicant.

    Shankar,

To have a wife who still beautiful after one/two children, the man too should contribute. She should not be made a baby-producing machine, she should have healthy food and rest. She should be allowed to earn as per education, not made to do hard labour and upon returning from work the man and she together should do housework and helping the children.

Advice is free but bringing it into reality is costly. It takes efforts from both, not just one.

@Shanker Mangalore,my advice to you is dont think that wife need not be fit for her husband after having children, but husband should also think of her health and help in her daily Problems, household ,not only sip Whisky with friends and order for Food and say why did I marry and brought you here ?This I heard from a wife weeping in kitchen with child and husband was outside. He should also accept her as his Partner in good and bad times. Not go to a younger woman ,when she has children and aged or sick. Both should Support each other. Here she worked and looked after children when he was enjoying with a younger Girl.Remember ,man can have a look to another woman ,but eat at home.

    Madam Lydia,
As you aware in this case father of family had lust with young girl, after her marriage he has deprived from this, even though its unethical he still tried to follow it,he could not.So ultimately he took this decision of suicide,if he had other source he would have opted brothel house and satisfied himself.
This idea may look immoral but if one think in broad way and as per present internet world it is the only source to control ones lust for his basic instinct.

    Pam,

The man had no money to give his family (his wife had to sell milk to feed their children). Do the prostitutes offer service for free ? The major reason for his girlfriend to flee could be that this man set tent at her house and eating our of her earnings ! She did the best thing by dumping him but much derogated act is done by the man is killing his own children !

Dharti-ka-bhoj, yet survived ! Imagine what his wife's reaction could be upon finding out about his betrayal as well as children death ??

Madam.... there is also a woman here, who trusted the man ??? What about the wife ? Do you mean that the man's trust ends with one woman who isn't his wife ? Could he have apologised for betraying her and begged her forgiveness for the sake of their children ?

Common lady, its he who betrayed the woman he married, that the other woman left him is secondary. She left because he can't marry and their relation ship is a taboo.

Being a woman, you should have given priority to the married woman, not the other woman !

Moreover the extrmarital affair was consensual so girl also equally responsible!!

    Rudolf,

Granted, the affair was consensual - accordingly, she did not accuse him of abuse/rape. But when she saw no chances of a marriage, she left. Why should the woman be made responsible for his inability to look after his wife/children ?

Why you and Kusuma don't see him as a killer of his family but see her as reason for the killings ? Is the man functioning depending on his girlfriend's existence ?? Doesn't his his own brain work ?

After this man recovers, he should be taken to task and severely punished. He enjoyed his life with a young girl, did not bother about his wife and children, after he was ditched, he came back to his family shamelessly. What depression, it is his own doing, he had no right to kill his family whatever the situation.

Isnt the girl also at fault? He loved this girl more than his own wife and was living with him. When he she left him he might have felt severely depressed and he committed suicide. Man at fault for extramraital affairs and women at fault for ditchinmg him All are at fault

    Ms. Kusuma Kumari,

The man either did not tell the other woman that he is married or, if he did say, she found out that there is no way he leaves his wife (mother of his two children). Naturally she decided to move on. What is wrong is with that ?

How come you find fault with the woman but excuse the man who goes on to kill his own children ? That too after he lost his other woman because of his own flaw ?

We have to change our attitude towards divorce rape, consensual sex etc. All these are considered as taboo and the same is fed to our children too.
In this case, a simple divorce could have been the solution, from the wife’s side. He would not have had the right to come back. The kids could have had their life full. RIP.

The same is the case with sex or intercourse. My simple advise to the girls is do not feel guilty once you have had sex with or without consent(rape).
In case of rape take it as an assault and proceed with judicial vengeance. Never end life. Life is precious.
