Pune: Dead body of missing Hiriadka youth found in trash

Pune, Oct 19: The dead body of a Hiriadka resident youth who was reported missing was found in a heap of trash here. The deceased who has died under mysterious circumstances is identified as Udupi Hiriadka resident Dinesh Mahabala Shetty (35). The dead body was found in the trash near Boomkar Chowk here on Sunday October 16.

Bharathi Vidyapeeta Chowk police conducted the inquest and postmortem of the body which had marks of serious injury on the head and eyes and handed it over to the relatives. Police suspect that he was killed and thrown in the trash. He was working as a hotel employee for the last fifteen years and was staying with his brother. He was slightly mind impaired and was unmarried.

He was working at a canteen near Vakad six months ago before leaving the job. He had started working at a new job on Friday last week and went missing after working there for a day. Vidyapeeta police inspector Vijayasimha Gaekwad and assistant inspector Amol Kale arrived at the place and conducted investigations.
