Mangaluru: A J Institute staff, student emerge toppers at SIMLA

Mangaluru, Oct 20: Dr Ullasa Shetty, assistant professor of department of forensic medicine and toxicology at A J Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, here, secured best paper presentation in staff category and Dr Gautham N, post-graduate student, secured first place in post-graduate quiz competition at the XIIIth annual conference of South India Medico-legal Association (SIMLA) – Forensicon 2016. The conference was organized by the department of forensic medicine and toxicology, K S Hegde Medical Academy, NITTE University, here on October 7, 8 and 9 at the Nitte University.

This conference included most of the teaching institutions from different parts of the country and some colleges from abroad. This is a rare achievement wherein both in the faculty section and in the postgraduate quiz competition they secured topmost position.  The management and dean of the institute commended the achievements of the winners and the department.
