Mangaluru: Two theft-accused held - stolen items recovered

Mangaluru, Oct 22: Personnel of Pandeshwar station in the city, on Friday, October 21,  arrested two accused persons and recovered valuables worth Rs 1.50 lac. The assets relate to two thefts which occurred within the jurisdictions of Pandeshwar and Kadri police stations.

The arrested accused happen to be Srinivas (19) from Salem, and Laxman Gowda (19), resident of Peral Amai in Sullia taluk. 32 grams of gold ornaments stolen from the house of Abdul Farooq from Yemmekere here, and a laptop and cell phone stolen from a house on Falnir Road within the limits of Kadri police station, were recovered. Pandeshwar police inspector, Belliappa K, crime branch sub-inspector, Ananth Murudeshwar, and others were part of the investigating team which nabbed the theft-accused.
