Dubai: KSCC helps repatriate body of Gopal Krishna Desai

Dubai, Oct 23: The remains of Gopal Krishna Desai, who died on Wednesday, October 5, was repatriated to his hometown Sindagi recently, by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) , Dubai U.A.E. He passed away from a cardiac arrest in Dubai, on his way from the USA to India.

Late Desai (69), was an advocate by profession, who hailed from Sindagi, Karnataka, India and was the son of the freedom fighter Late Narayan Rao.

On October 5, he and his wife Sudhabai Desai, were travelling from the USA to India via Dubai, during the landing in Dubai, he experienced a severe heart attack and later was declared dead by the airport doctors.

A well-wishers contacted KSCC requesting their help to complete related formalities and repatriate the remains. Members of KSCC swiftly responded and completed the procedure to repatriate the body to his hometown, via Hyderabad.

Desai was an attorney in Sindagi. He is survived by his wife, son Girish Desai and daughter Jayadevi Desai.
