Moderate Earthquake Hits Gujarat Twice

New Delhi, Jan 2: An earthquake of slight intensity occurred in Junagadh region of Gujarat late on Tuesday night, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said here.

It said trembler of 3.6 magnitude on the Richter scale occurred at 12.04 am.

The earthquake was epicentred at 21.0 degree North Latitude and 70.3 degree East Longitude, the IMD said.

Earlier in the day at 04.34 pm, the region was hit with an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude.

The trembler was epicentred at 21.2 degree North Latitude and 70.6 degree East Longitude.

There were no reports of any casualty or damage to property from anywhere.
