Kasargod: Attempt at breaking ATM machine at Manjeshwar fails

Kasargod, Oct 24: A gang which tried to break an ATM machine installed at Manjeshwar in the district failed in their purpose. They however went away after forcibly taking away the cellphone of its watchman. The incident occurred at around 2 am on Sunday October 23.

The robbers targetted the ATM centre of Karnataka Bank located in Metro building at Manjeshwar. The watchman resisted the attempt. The robbers then attacked the watchman, took away his mobile phone and disappeared.

The injured watchman, identified as Niranjan, residing near Manjeshwar Govinda Pai College, stands admitted into a local private hospital.
