Dubai: Thumbay Hospitals to launch ‘Pink Drive’ on Oct 26

Dubai, Oct 24: As October marks breast cancer awareness month, Thumbay Hospitals- the network of academic hospitals owned by Thumbay Group and the Thumbay Clinic
chain- have joined hands with Dubai Police, Cars Taxi, Pink Caravan and Friends of Cancer Patients to launch a breast cancer awareness initiative ‘Pink Drive’.

The highlight of the event is a ‘Pink Ribbon Formation’ by taxis, to spread awareness on breast cancer. The campaign, scheduled on Wednesday October 26, will feature a giant ‘pink ribbon formation’ by 36 taxis of Cars Taxi, aiming to encourage women to get tested today. Through the ‘Pink Drive’ campaign, Thumbay Hospitals also wants everyone to show their support to all those thousands of women battling the disease and undergoing painful treatment. Thumbay Hospitals at Dubai, Ajman and Fujairah will organise the drive at 10.30 am, 12 pm and 4 pm respectively. On the same day, Thumbay Clinics in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain will hold mass promotional campaigns with various activities to educate the public on breast cancer.
