Mumbai: Sahitya Balaga holds seminar on superstitious beliefs

Mumbai, Oct 24: “May government not attack the beliefs of the people. Society cannot be converted by laws. Education should create awareness so that people may get relief from cruel beliefs,” said retired principal professor P Sripathi Thanthri.

He spoke after inaugurating a two day long seminar on religious beliefs based on scientific basis held at Santacruz Billavara Bhavan by Sahitya Balaga Mumbai on its silver jubilee under the collaboration of Billavara Association Mumbai on Saturday evening, October 22.

Mumbai Billavara association president Nithyananda D Kotian welcomed everyone. Mumbai Sahitya Balaga president H B L Rao gave the keynote address. Secretary S K Sunder proposed the vote of thanks. Treasurer Y V Madhusoodan Rao, Shashikala Hegde compered the programme.
