Kasargod: Motor bike accident - pedestrian killed, biker injured

Kasargod, Oct 25: After a motorbike had hit him, a pedestrian was killed at Badiyadka near Manjeshwar in the district in the early hours of Monday, October 24. In this accident, the bike rider was injured.

The deceased has been identified as Balakrishna Kurup (68), a resident of Agalpady in Badiyadka.  He was working as a watchman for a garage at Badiyadka Melinapete. After midnight on Sunday, Kurup was crossing the road when a motorbike knocked him down. He sustained serious injuries in this accident. He was taken to a hospital at Mangaluru for treatment but could not be saved.

As the motorbike also tumbled in this accident, bike rider, Manohar Acharya (55) from Beejantadka, was injured. He stands admitted into a hospital in the town. A complaint about the accident stands registered in Badiyadka police station.
