Kasargod: Fake certificates for passports - Three arrested

Kasargod, Oct 26: Police in Manjeshwar, on Tuesday October 25, have arrested three persons relating to the case of fake certificates.

Safwan from Mangalpady, Mufiq from Thoudugoli and Rauf from Hosangadi are the arrested persons.

As per details, Mufiq and Safwan had applied for passports with fake certificates. Rauf had arranged for these certificates. Mufiq had paid Rs 8,000 to Rauf for the certificate. Rauf got it done in a place in Mangaluru. Certificate for Rauf was made at a private firm in Mangalpady.

Owner of the private of in Mangalpady, Iqbal, is absconding now. He is also a former gram panchayat member. Police are in search of him.

Ashraf from Bandyodi was arrested earlier for the fake certificate network. He is in judicial custody presently. He owned a firm named Akshaya Kendra. The relationship of Ashraf with this present case is yet to be investigated.

The arrests were made by the team led by sub-inspector Pramod from Manjeshwar police station.

    These people are arrested. Balkrishna of Patanjali, who submitted fake BA and MA certificates for passport, is glorified and he is a hero of govt.

    Passports are not for any particular destination, but, for any country. Instead, visas and tickets are for particular countries.
