Deepika not approached for Siddharth Anand's next

Mumbai, Oct 26 (IANS): Actress Deepika Padukone has not been approached for director Siddharth Anand's next project, which is an India-China production, says the actress' spokesperson.

There were reports that Deepika is being considered for Anand's next. But the news has been dismissed as "mere rumours" by her spokesperson.

"These are mere rumours. Deepika has not even been approached for the film," said her spokesperson in a statement.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" fame director Kabir Khan and "Bang Bang!" director Anand have been roped in to helm two India-Chinese co-productions backed by Eros International's franchise feature film studio Trinity Pictures.

The co-productions are with Chinese film companies Peacock Mountain Culture & Media Ltd and Huaxia Film Distribution Co Ltd.

Kabir Khan's travel drama "The Zookeeper" (working title) and Anand's cross-cultural romantic comedy "Love in Beijing" (working title) will be released in 2018. Anand's "Love in Beijing" is based on an Indian girl who falls in love with a Chinese man.

On the work front, Deepika is looking forward to her maiden Hollywood maiden project "xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage", which also stars Vin Diesel.

She is currently prepping for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming magnum opus "Padmavati", which also features Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
