Kuwait, Oct 27 (Emirates 247) : A man nearly faced a jail sentence when his parrot repeated phrases from his alleged affair with housemaid.
A woman - who chose not be named - had suspected that her husband had been having a liaison with their cleaner and believed her thoughts even further when her pet kept repeating flirty messages which were allegedly picked up from the house.
With the couple being form Kuwai, adultery is illegal, meaning that affairs could lead to a prison sentence or hard labour.
Believing that the parrot's interpretation of the phrases was the perfect evidence to punish her husband, the upset wife took the evidence to court in a bid to punish her alleged cheating husband.
According to the Metro newspaper, the case ended unsuccessfully as the court didn't believe that words from the parrot were solid evidence of the affair and could have been picked up from a television or radio.
