Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 28: Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah, said that his government has wholeheartedly tried to create an environment of harmony and mutual trust in the coast to tackle communal clashes some organizations are engaged in there.

Speaking at 'Surajya Samavesha' organized at the palace ground here on Thursday October 27, the chief minister pointed out that because of organizations and parties which are engaged in planting the seeds of communal tension between different communities in Karnataka coast, there happened to be large scale incidents of communal violence and clashes. "By organizing Padayatra for harmony, Congress party succeeded in warding off a sense of fear and tension that had got deep-rooted in the minds of people living in Udupi and other coastal areas," he claimed.

Speaking earlier, All India Congress Committee general secretary, Digvijay Singh had called upon the government to be alert about the organizations that are engaged in fuelling communal passions in coastal areas of the state.

We also furthered the policy of divide and rule which our party inherited from the colonial powers after independence by celebrating Tippu Jayanti and hit them where it hurts the most. Every year more and more animosity will grow between communities thereby directly adding to growth of vote bank to the party.

Because the saffron gang creates problems and is involved in rhetoric they must not believe they have a chance in the electoral race next time. Who would like to vote to a party that is divisive? In spite of being a good Hindu it is not my choice nor of my family and friends. We prefer a party that works for the people without creating violence

Siddu has dug his own grave, with Bhagyas, Jyanthis, lawlessness, appeasement. I would not be surprised if many Cong leaders walk into the record books like Poojari, in the coming elections.
