Moodbidri: Investment Awareness programme organised at AIET

Moodbidri, Oct 28: Finbytes, the finance forum of the Department of MBA, Alva's Institue of Engineering and Technology, Moodbidri, had organised a half day 'Investment Awareness program' for civil Engineering students of  AIET, here on Monday, October 24.

The main aim of the program was to educate the students about the stock market, one of the most attractive investment avenues in the present world. Dr Kushalappa S, faculty of MBA, had conducted the program.








In his session, he covered the various aspects relating to stock market besides giving a description of it. He focussed on how it is different from other investment avenues, why it is attractive compared to other avenues, what the future of stock market business in India is, how to select a stock, what principles ought to be followed to become a value investor, how to open the DMAT account, importance of portfolio management, among other topics. 40 students attended the programme and actively participated in the entire session.

Prof Ramakrishna Chadaga, dean of MBA, AIET gave the introductory remark and stressed the importance of financial literacy.
